The white mug has a dark green handle and matching inside for contrast. The colors of the "decal" pop out. My trusty RMG friend that is a retired USN Captain says, that having a dark interior means that you don't show the dirt and more importantly coffee stains. I'll let you decide if he is right. I love mine!
