Howa/Hlavna & Company Stag Hunter Rifle is an enhanced classic hunting rifle built and designed in Bethlehem, NH by gunsmith Larry Hlavna. This is a custom built hunting rifle so it will take a bit of time to create. You will be choosing the caliber, the finish on the stock, and whether you want the suggested optics. You will directly order the rifle with Gunsmith Hlavna. He is directly selling the rifle, Maine Guide Supply is not.
The rifle specs: Howa barreled action, various standard and magnum calibers, hammer forged blued barrel that is 22 or 24 inches, bolt face is precisely squared to the chamber, three position safety, two stage trigger, american walnut stock with Fleur de lis checkering, satin or gloss finish stock, Pachmyr decerator pad, free floated barrel channel, european swivel studs. The 6.5 Creedmore package weighs 7 lbs, 13 oz.
It is available with an optional Leupold Scope. Leupold VX3i 2.5-8X 36mm matte duplex scope. Leupold CRW-2 two-piece bases, Leupold QRW-2 rings 1" medium matte OR PRW-2 rings 1: medium matte with Leupold aluminum flip-back lens covers.
The initial price for the Stag Hunter rifle only with a 6.5 Creedmore package is $839.00 but it will be adjusted based on component part pricing.
The initial price for the Stag Hunter rifle with the Leupold VX3i scope package is $1389.00 but it will be adjusted based on component part pricing.

Gunsmith Larry Hlavna has been repairing and designing fine firearms for over 55 years. He has worked for Remington Arms, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Ruger Firearms among others, and is a U.S. Military Veteran. He does repair work on classic, antique and modern firearms at his shop. He is a former champion Trap shooter.
