Howa/Hlavna & Company Stag Hunter Rifle is an enhanced classic hunting rifle built and designed in Bethlehem, NH by gunsmith Larry Hlavna. He is directly selling the rifle, Maine Guide Supply is not.
The rifle specs: Howa barreled action, various standard and magnum calibers, hammer forged blued barrel that is 22 or 24 inches, bolt face is precisely squared to the chamber, three position safety, two stage trigger, american walnut stock with Fleur de lis checkering, satin or gloss finish stock, Pachmyr decerator pad, free floated barrel channel, european swivel studs. The 6.5 Creedmore package weighs 7 lbs, 13 oz.
It is available with an optional Leupold Scope. Leupold VX3i 2.5-8X 36mm matte duplex scope. Leupold CRW-2 two-piece bases, Leupold QRW-2 rings 1" medium matte OR PRW-2 rings 1: medium matte with Leupold aluminum flip-back lens covers.

He has worked for Remington Arms, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Ruger Firearms among others, and is a U.S. Military Veteran. He does repair work on classic, antique and modern firearms at his shop. He is a former champion Trap shooter.
