25This heavy duty laminated double sided card shows the most common Northeast trees. It is a quick method of identifying trees while in the field.
It has two sections for identification-
Deciduous: Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Striped Maple, Dogwood, Ash, Birch, Black Gum, Elm, Basswood, Aspen, Beech, Sweet Gum, Cherry, Hickory, Tulip Poplar, Red Oak, and White Oak
Conifers: White Pine, Pitch Pine, Red Pine, Jack Pine, Tamarack, Northern White Cedar, Eastern Red Cedar, Black Spruce, Red Spruce, Hemlock, and Balsam Fir
The card has pictures of the leaves with a 2 " scale as well. It comes with a small hole in one corner so that you can put it with others on a jump ring or bead key chain. The size is 3 7/8" x 2 1/2".
